About Vivian Lou
Vivian Luo, also known as Violinviiv, is a classically trained, electric violinist and event performer in Boston, Massachusetts. She’s known for her pop covers, virtuoso skills, and miniature light show. You can often find her performing outside Faneuil Hall and at Red Line T-stops!

Violin Viiv shared the stage with pop music Icon Flo Rida at The House of Blues back in 2022! Viiv also performed live for owner Dj El Sid’s wedding back in 2023!

I am a June 2023 bride. My husband and I hosted a fusion wedding, I am American and my husband is first generation Salvadoran. We knew the music had to hit at our wedding, but it felt like a lot of pressure to please both sides. When
we found Sid, it felt like a weight was taken off our shoulders!
From our initial meeting, to pre-wedding communication, to the actual wedding day, working with Sid was amazing. He understood our situation exactly, and had a portfolio full of amazing weddings that were similar, if not the

Joel dj’d our wedding on 9/23/23 and we cannot say enough good things about him! The music was absolutely awesome and we have received tons of compliments. We were looking for a good mix of music to satisfy our guests and Joel did not disappoint.
He played American and Latin music throughout the whole night, such a good variety of both. He checked in with us before the reception and throughout the night to make sure we were happy.
Communication prior to the wedding was great and their planning portal was very user friendly!

We worked with DJ El Sid and Medio Pollo for our wedding September. The energy and professionalism they brought exceeded all expectations. They had everyone out of their seat and on the dance floor. Where to even begin. If you are unsure whether to hire DJ El Sid, don’t think, just go for it! He is one of the most professional and organized vendors I’ve worked with. He took the time to meet with us to go over our day and to make sure everything was the way we wanted it. We felt so comfortable going into the day knowing that he would make our day run smoothly and be a blast! As for the music, WOW, DJ Sid knows how to read a room. He knew exactly what songs to play at the right times to keep everyone on the dance floor. I took a look around our venue and there was not a single person sitting at the tables, he had everyone dancing the whole night. From start to finish, we could have not asked for a better DJ for our wedding. We were thrilled to have him and our guests raved about him. Thank you for everything!

Amazing Experience
From my very first inquiry sent to DJ El Sid Entertainment, they were incredibly responsive, professional, and friendly. Sid got back to us immediately with package offerings and once we booked them, he set up a Zoom with him, our event DJ, Sam Milli, and us to go over all of the details. They have a very organized portal where you can choose song requests, layout any details for the ceremony, etc which was very helpful. For the day of the event, Sam (DJ Milli) was just perfect. He checked in with us but never bugged us, his playlist was perfect, his equipment and everything for our outdoor ceremony worked flawlessly, and he was even super friendly and polite to some of our more inebriated guests that were very excited to discuss the playlist with him. We could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding.

Reception was Amazing!
DJ El Sid was a professional at every stage of our wedding planning; we definitely recommend using his services! At the beginning of our planning process he offered guidance and suggestions, but did not make us feel pressured to do things in any particular way, focusing on achieving our unique vision. His online portal made it super clear and easy to build our playlists. He was always prompt and on-time with his responsibilities, was able to answer all of our questions, and put us at ease with his friendly and easygoing personality. A week before our wedding our reception venue was damaged by a car crashing into it, so we needed to have our reception in an outdoor tent… despite the logistical challenge Sid made the needed adjustments and had all of his equipment set up outdoors and working on schedule. He MC’ed the event with a fun and friendly charisma, and we received many positive comments about the music during our reception, which Sid had blended perfectly to keep everyone on the dance floor all night. We cannot recommend him highly enough!

Yes! We will meet with you before contract to discuss our packages, pricing, and to answer any other question you have. Once booked, we are always available to answer questions as they come up in planning – and we also like to schedule time to meet with you and your partner typically 3-4 weeks prior to your wedding in order to finalize remaining details for the event. Communication is key, and we will ensure that we are available leading up to the wedding!
Yes, absolutely! We will work with you ahead of your wedding for basic framework of songs… for example, we ask that you and your partner log into your very own wedding client portal in order to begin selecting a handful of “must play” in addition to a handful of “do not play” songs. This will give us a good idea of what you want for your wedding… And we fill in the rest!
Yes. For every aspect of your wedding, we will bring professional sound equipment (ceremony and/or cocktail hour and reception). We also will never charge for more additional sound equipment! Whether you have 50 or 350 people, we will bring the appropriate amount of sound for the room and number of guests.
Fusion function prides itself on being able to blend, balance and incorporate all different types of music into your wedding… We have deep knowledge of typical mainstream genres like country, pop, rock, jazz, hip Hop, reggaeton. We also have experience in various niche genres like: Afrobeats, Afrocarribbean (Haitian, Compa, Kizomba), Latin (Salsa, Bachata Mergenue), Asian (Bollywood, Laotian, Vietnamese) Middleeastern (Arabic, Lebanese, Greek, Georgian). MA, CT, RI, NH, ME, VT. We are based out of Waltham, MA and our team is able to travel to venues approximately 1-2 hours of that general range. Also, we are more than willing to travel, but please note a travel fee and/or overnight hotel arrangements may be added to the quote based on your venue location.
Yes. When you book Fusion Function, we are the master of ceremonies for the evening. THIs includes making all formal announcements (formal introductions, dance formalities, dinner announcements, and all the ‘pump up’ ‘hype up’ you want for your reception/party. We work with you ahead of the wedding to ensure all announcements and formalities will be seamless without error or issues.
Depends – During one of our meetings ahead of your wedding we will ask if guests requests are permitted, and honor whatever you choose. *Note – in our experience, we don’t typically have a lot of guests requests for any of the weddings that we DJ simply because we are experts in reading the crowd.
Absolutely! As part of any wedding package, you and your partner/fiancé get access to a dedicated client portal. This allows you to pick your “must play” songs as well as the “do not play” songs. Additionally our DJs keep that list handy for your wedding and have it reviewed ahead of your wedding so that song wont be played.
